Benefits of CLA in Weight Loss

In several recent double-blind scientific studies (the only proof accepted by the established scientific community) Tonalin CLA proved it can slim your body, tone your muscles, reduce the incidence of breast cancer, improve asthma, allergy, blood sugar control and diabetes. It even limits atherosclerosis which can lead to heart disease!

We will show you how to lose belly fat by incorporating CLA into your daily regimen.

Recently, Tonalin CLA has received a lot of publicity in the news. This had to do with the major difference that exist between Tonalin conjugated linoleic acid and other leading CLA brands. The story made the news after it was noted that Tonalin CLA which is made from Safflower contains up to 82% CLA as compared to other leading brands made from Sunflower oil containing as little as 30% CLA. CLA is a scientifically proven, effective nutritional supplement that naturally slims the body by inhibiting the activity of lipase enzymes that usher fat into fat cells. It also increases lean muscle mass which enables your body to burns more calories and function at optimal levels--the result, you lose fat in all the right places. CLA's ability to reshape your body by inhibiting the activity of lipase enzymes that usher fat into fat cells makes it the perfect choice for anyone serious about reclaiming their health or dropping 6 or more pounds of body fat.

The first study to document the long-term safety and efficacy of Tonalin brand conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) found that the supplement reduces body fat mass in overweight, but otherwise healthy adults by as much as nine percent. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted over a 12-month period without additional lifestyle or dietary restrictions. "The results of this first long-term study indicate that CLA, taken for one year as a dietary supplement, safely improves the ratio of body fat to lean tissue in overweight, but otherwise healthy adults," said Dr. Jean-Michel Gaullier of Scandinavian Clinical Research in Kjeller, Norway. Study participants who took 3.4 g of CLA per day experienced a significant reduction in their body fat mass compared to those in the placebo group. The results confirm a trend observed in previous short-term CLA studies. In the study, 180 healthy men and women volunteers, ages 18-65, with a body mass index indicating that they were overweight, were randomized to receive softgel capsules containing either 3.4 g CLA-free fatty acid (CLA-FFA), 3.4 g CLA-triacylglycerol or equivalent amounts of olive oil, a placebo. Patients were studied for 12 months. Weight, BMI, vital signs, and adverse events were recorded every three months. Body composition and blood samples were analyzed at regular intervals throughout the study, and participants were monitored continuously for any signs of adverse events. The study concluded "long-term supplementation with CLA-FFA or CLA-triacylglycerol reduces BFM (body fat mass) in healthy overweight adults." The truths about the health benefits of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) continue to be uncovered.

A report appearing in the Journal of Nutrition adds more credence to CLA's healthy properties. A pilot study has indicated that CLA may help diabetics manage their weight. Twenty-one subjects with Type 2 (adult-onset) diabetes consumed either a daily supplement of CLA or a placebo for an eight-week period. The subjects were not asked to modify either their daily calorie intake or exercise levels. Average weight-loss among 11 subjects taking the CLA supplement was approximately 3.5 lbs. over the length of the study. The control group neither gained nor lost weight.
